My Story
I grew up dancing at A Time To Dance in Clute, Texas from 2003-2011. Here I experienced the value of learning dance in a Christian atmosphere, where my family never had to worry if the music would be encouraging goodness, the recital costumes would be appropriate, and the teachers would be kind.
My teachers encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone, introducing me to new styles of dance. Just as they said, it was easy for me to adapt to new styles because of my foundation in Ballet, I was eager to take all the classes and dance opportunities that I could.
I have a heart for working with new dancers and in 2011 I started training as a student teacher at Footsteps School Of Dance in addition to the classes I was taking there.
During my teacher training is when my dream to have my own dance studio began, when my teacher was the first person to suggest that this was what I was meant to do.
By 2015 I was teaching my own dance classes at Footsteps.

In 2017 Footsteps announced their coming closure and I felt the need deeply for a special place of dance like this to continue in our community.
I knew that one of the moms at the studio was running a homeschool co-op at the old Elementary School in Brazoria and so I reached out to her and to my teacher about the idea of holding dance classes there. In the fall of 2017 we began holding classes as Ignite Dance at Masters Academy Of Fine Arts.
Here I had the wonderful opportunity to gain experience with more leadership roles in dance and cultivate my passion until I was prepared to expand on my own.
In the spring of 2024 I closed out my classes at MAFA with our annual Spring Recital, to open Ms. Hannah's Dance Academy in the fall.
